January 10, at about 7:00 p.m. violation of Armenia-Azerbaijan border was registered in the Yeraskh-Nakhchivan passage, RA Defense Minister Department of Information and Public Affairs informed NEWS.am.

The RA citizen Yeghishe Gevorgyan (born 1958), with his wife and three under-age children (7, 6 and 3 years old) by car, ignoring the warnings by Armenian frontiers broke through the blockings and crossed the border. Through the shootings of the Azerbaijani side he slipped across the territory of Nakhchivan. The Armenian frontiers did not open a destructive fire not to harm children in the vehicle.


Earlier, Gevorgyan was convicted 8 times for robbery, car theft and other crimes. The international humanitarian organizations were informed about the incident. Criminal proceedings were instituted, an investigation is in progress. The details are being specified.
