YEREVAN. - On Sept. 6 Armenian Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan received the U.S. House of Representatives Foreign Affairs Subcommittee on Europe and Eurasia Chairman Congressman Dan Barton.

MOD press service informs that Armenian Defense Minister stressed that he highly values the support of U.S. Congress in the development of US-Armenian defense cooperation, particularly in military education sphere, and emphasized the necessity of balanced approach towards countries of our region.

The U.S. congressman promised to convey defense minister's stance to the Congress.

In the meeting the sides discussed regional security, bilateral defense cooperation and other issues of mutual interest.
