YEREVAN. – Global Gold Mining Company released a statement explaining statements by the former Minister of Nature Protection and presently ruling Republican party influential MP Vardan Aivazyan.

“Aivazyan claims that the New York Court cast a verdict against him when he was a Minister and the verdict allegedly claims he implemented actions against the company which were illegal. The former Minister also claims he allegedly received no letters about the court trials, and became aware via internet.

His statements are false and baseless, hence, the company has to clarify the following: the court cast verdict against Aivazyan in 2003 and it is not against Aivazyan as a Minister but as an individual. The verdict is valid since the August 2012. Besides, Aivazyan was aware about the court procedure, and he got at least 6 notes by the court during this year.

In addition, the documents on the case are available and the court verdict is public,” the statement reads.
