BAKU. – The U.S. is going to cooperate closely with Azerbaijan on the Caspian Sea security.

It runs talks on various directions for ensuring security of infrastructures in the sea and cooperation in the field, the US ambassador to Azerbaijan Richard Morningstar told Turan agency in response to the question on perspectives of cooperation on the Caspian Sea security. 

As for the current situation around the talks on the Nagorno-Karabakh peace process, he said that it is very important that each of the sides made efforts on searching for ways of going out of the deadlock situation.

Also the ambassador will make efforts by his side working with the Azerbaijani government and the U.S. mediator [co-chairing the OSCE Minsk Group] for achieving a progress in the peace settlement. The only way of settling the issue is through peace, Morningstar claimed.
