STEPANAKERT. - On October 1, Nagorno-Karabakh Republic President Bako Sahakyan received a delegation of the “Switzerland-Armenia” parliamentary friendship group headed by its co-chairmen Ueli Leuenberger and Dominique de Buman, who have arrived in Artsakh with a working visit, Central information department of the Artsakh President Administration informs. Issues related to the development of Switzerland-Artsakh relations were discussed during the meeting. President Bako Sahakyan considered Switzerland a friendly country rating high its balanced position and approaches towards global and regional processes. The Head of State emphasized Artsakh’s interest in the multilateral cooperation with Switzerland in particularly highlighting the importance of establishing sustainable ties and working relations between the parliaments of the two countries. A number of issues relating to the Artsakh domestic and foreign policy were also touched upon. The need of peaceful settlement of Azerbaijani-Karabakh conflict, restoration of the full-fledged negotiation format with the direct participation of the Nagorno Karabakh Republic was mutually noted. NKR foreign minister Karen Mirzoyan and other officials partook at the meeting.
