YEREVAN. – Armenian capital city Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan met with a delegation led by Mayor Jacek Karnowski of Sopot, Poland.
Briefly presenting Yerevan’s system of governance and priorities, Margaryan specifically stated: “I believe Yerevan and Sopot have vast opportunities for collaboration.” Also, he underscored the holding of Polish painter Ryszard Strjec’s exhibition in Yerevan on Thursday, Yerevan Municipality Information and Public Relations Department informs.
“The exhibition will enable to get better acquainted with Polish culture. [And] As a result of our cooperation, I am confident that such events will be held in Poland, too,” Margaryan noted.
In his turn, Mayor Jacek Karnowski expressed a conviction that ties between Yerevan and Sopot will become more practical. “I am confident that the two cities possess a huge potential to implement joint programs,” he noted, and invited the Yerevan Mayor for an official visit to Sopot.
At the end of the meeting, Taron Margaryan reiterated that Yerevan Municipality stands ready to cooperate with Sopot and to assist in numerous activities, including investment projects in Armenia’s capital city.
