BUCHAREST. - Armenia’s authorities are decisive in holding free, fair, democratic and transparent presidential elections, President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan said during the European Liberal Democrat and Reform party (ELDR) congress in Bucharest on Wednesday.

Sargsyan stated that Armenia held parliamentary elections this spring, which international observers assessed as the best from the beginning of Armenia’s independence proclamation, President’s press service informs Armenian News-NEWS.am.

“Armenia’s authorities are decisive in turning the achieved progress into a steady tendency and hold in the future free, fair, transparent and democratic presidential elections,” Sargsyan emphasized.

Presidential elections in Armenia are scheduled for Feb. 19, 2013.
