YEREVAN.- President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan received on Friday Secretary General of World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) Taleb Rifai.

President underscored importance of “International Conference on Universal Values and Cultural Diversity in the 21st Century” held in Yerevan, stressing organization’s role in development of tourism.

In his turn, Taleb Rifai noted that discussion held within the framework of the conference yielded results – participants signed a memorandum on intercultural dialogue and cultural diversity.

Serzh Sargsyan and Taleb Rifai pointed at the role of tourism in establishment of intercultural ties. They exchanged views on tourism development projects implemented in Armenia.
