YEREVAN. – Armenia’s National Security Council (NSC) Secretary Arthur Baghdasaryan on Tuesday received Austria’s newly appointed Ambassador to Armenia, Alois Kraut, whose diplomatic residence is in Vienna.

First, Baghdasaryan congratulated the ambassador for commencing his diplomatic mission in Armenia and wished him success in his future activities, NSC press service informs. Baghdasaryan noted that Armenia underscores the development of ties with Austria, including active cooperation along the lines of EU.    

Also, the NSC Secretary reflected on regional matters, specifically, the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and Armenia’s relations with Turkey and Azerbaijan. In addition, they examined the prospects for developing Armenia’s ties with Iran and Georgia.  

The interlocutors made arrangement on establishing ties between Armenia’s National Security Council and Austria’s Security Council. 

The NSC Secretary extended his thanks to the ambassador for the invitation to visit Austria.

At the end of the meeting, the Austrian diplomat thanked for the warm reception and promised to exert efforts to deepen the interaction between Armenia and Austria.
