YEREVAN. – The opposition Armenian National Congress (ANC) released a statement responding to the PM Tigran Sargsyan’s offer. The latter stated in the Government on Thursday that by the order of the President Serzh Sargsyan they will launch ‘decisive operations’ for the fight against the corruption and will invite the opposition parties, NGOs and international organizations to participate in the fight.

 The statement by the opposition bloc reads as follows:

“Our official documents have always stated that corruption in Armenia is systematized and coincides with the authoritative pyramid headed by the President. Even documents of some of the state officials, for example income documents submitted by the PM Sargsyan testify about the corruption. The phenomenon is directly connected to the illegal authorities and exists due to it. Hence, the ANC is not going to participate in the show and believes that other political powers, NGOs and international organizations will reject their participation as well.”
