Israel’s Transportation, Road Safety and Infrastructure Minister Yisrael Katz approved Arkia’ Airlines’ application to fly between Tel Aviv and Yerevan, the capital city of Armenia.
“The route has existed since 1997 under an agreement between Israel and Armenia but has only been serviced, until now, by Armenia airline Armavia,” Arutz Sheva reports.
Minister Katz said the granting of the route is part of liberalization in Israel’s airline industry.
