YEREVAN. – Within the framework of his working visit to the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Armenia’s Deputy PM and Territorial Administration Minister Armen Gevorgyan on Tuesday met with His Highness Sheikh Saud Bin Saqr al Qasimi, Ruler of the Emirate of Ras al-Khaimah.
They discussed the economic cooperation between Armenia and the aforementioned emirate, reflected on Ras al-Khaimah’s investment programs in Armenia, and the prospects for extending interaction. The Deputy PM expressed a hope that the mutually beneficial projects will contribute to broadening trade and economic ties, Territorial Administration Ministry Public Relations Department informs.
Ruler of the UAE Emirate of Ras al-Khaimah reflected on the ongoing mining industry projects, in particular, and, also, expressed confidence that their cooperation with the Majid Al Futtaim group of companies, and in connection with an investment program in Armenia’s capital city Yerevan, likewise will contribute to strengthening trade and economic relations.
In addition, the interlocutors underscored the mutual visits and the direct contacts among the businessmen.
Wrapping up his working visit to UAE, Armenia’s Deputy PM and Territorial Administration Minister Armen Gevorgyan headed to Iraq, where he will co-chair on Wednesday the inaugural session of the Armenian-Iraqi Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation.
