Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev met with Head of the Administration of RF President Sergey Naryshkin within the framework of Russian-Azerbaijani forum on humanitarian cooperation. Last year Naryshkin paid several visits to Azerbaijan and behind the scenes they say that he is responsible for Kremlin policy in that country.
“First Russian-Azerbaijani forum on humanitarian cooperation sets a good example of collaboration between the states and can be held permanently,” the parties agreed. “This forum can set a good example for international cooperation in the humanitarian sphere,” Aliyev outlined. According to him, the current forum involves a hard-driving program and is a “very positive event”.
The humanitarian cooperation between Russia and Azerbaijan has “solid basis” and reasonable prospects, Aliyev noted. “The forum might be held permanently on an annual basis,” Naryshkin offered.
