Within two weeks Yerevan and Baku should submit their proposals for those provisions of Madrid Documents, concerning which the parties did not come to mutual understanding, OSCE Minsk Group Russian Co-Chair Yuri Merzlyakov stated according to the results of talks, NEWS.am correspondent reports from Sochi.

According to him, the mediators hope the proposals will be submitted within two weeks. Thereafter the Co-Chairs will again visit the region. Referring to the previous negotiations, Russian diplomat outlined the sides held open and constructive discussions. He attached significance to Sargsyan-Aliyev-Medvedev trilateral meeting. “The parties take Russian President Dmitry Medvedev’s initiative with great respect,” he noted. Nevertheless, Merzlyakov did not forecast whether any document on Karabakh conflict resolution will be signed in 2010.

As NEWS.am reported previously, January 25, Sargsyan-Aliyev-Medvedev trilateral meeting was held in Sochi. Armenian and Azerbaijani Presidents continued talks with the participation of OSCE MG Co-Chairs. The Presidents elaborated preamble to Madrid Principles, so-called fundamental principles of Karabakh conflict settlement in the course of trilateral meeting in Sochi, Russian FM Sergei Lavrov stated later.
