YEREVAN. – Courts in Armenia examined total of 93 cases of corruption in the third term of this year and charged 132 people, out of them 127 were sentenced on 88 cases, press service of the Attorney General Office informs. 

The 52 out of 127 charged were state officials, while financial damage made AMD 1,448,361,000 (about $3.5 million) due to all corruption cases heard in the courts. State damage made total of AMD 1,368,850,000 (about $3.3 million) out of the aforesaid sum, while AMD 429,464,000 (about $1.1 million) was compensated.

The 15 out of 18 charged due to 16 out of 17 criminal cases were sentenced to imprisonment, while 3 convicts were fined.
