Armenia-Turkey reconciliation is in both sates’ interests, Chairman of RA Standing Committee on Science, Education, Culture, Youth and Sport, RPA member Artak Davtyan said at the press conference in Yerevan today.
According to him, Ankara seeks to have extra aces, however Turkish Parliament will ratify the Protocols, though it is unclear when. As to Karabakh conflict settlement, no significant breakthrough should be expected in 2010. He called Sochi meeting a progress, “however it is too early to expect for concrete results.”
Yesterday, Sargsyan-Medvedev-Aliyev trilateral meeting took place, thereafter Armenian and Azerbaijan Presidents continued talks with participation of OSCE MG Co-Chairs. RF Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov stated that the parties agreed on preamble to future document on Karabakh conflict settlement.
