Armenia and Georgia signed an agreement on building 400 kilowatt high-voltage transmission line, Georgian Premier Nikoloz Gilauri stated at the Jan. 26 press conference following the 8th session of Armenian-Georgian intergovernmental commission.
“Armenia and Georgia have energy development programs and today we also signed a document that was pre-agreed when I was holding a post of Energy minister,” Gilauri stated, expressing content with effectiveness of intergovernmental commission’s activities.
RA Premier Tigran Sargsyan added that project on high-voltage line construction was included in the 2010 governmental program as one of the major events funded by Armenia.
Sargsyan also expressed confidence that construction will be launched in 2010 at full speed.
