The eighth sitting of Coordination council on launch of Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway service will take place in Tbilisi on January 28-29.

Today the meeting of working groups will be held in Tbilisi, whereas the one of the council Co-Chair Azerbaijani Transport Minister Ziya Mamedov and Georgian Economic Development Minister Zurab Pololikashvili will take place tomorrow.

The report on activities carried out since last meeting will be presented at the sitting, Azerbaijani Transport Ministry reports.

The sides will discuss the issues on $200m credit allocated to Georgia by Azerbaijan for Marabda road construction.

A new 150km – railway spur is planned to be constructed in the frames of Baku-Tbilisi-Kars project, 76km will pass via Turkey and 29 km — through Georgian territory.
