YEREVAN. – The MFA of Armenia and Federal Department of Foreign Affairs of Switzerland held political consultations Friday, and along the lines of the visit to Armenia by Swiss State Secretary Yves Rossier. The talks were moderated by Armenia’s Deputy FM Zohrab Mnatsakanyan and State Secretary Rossier.

The parties discussed bilateral ties, and underscored the high-level political discourse that is formed in Armenian-Swiss relations, Armenian MFA press service informs. They pointed to the need to further enhance the bilateral cooperation, the cultural and education exchange, and the activities within the framework of La Francophonie.     

Also, Mnatsakanyan spoke about the Armenia-EU cooperation, and the parties discussed the opportunities for cooperation as EU partner countries. In addition, they reflected on the interaction within international organizations.

The parties exchanged views on regional and international matters. In this connection, Zohrab Mnatsakanyan presented the Armenian party’s approach toward the Nagorno-Karabakh peace process. Also, they spoke about relations with the regional and neighboring countries.
