YEREVAN. – Chairman of the Central Electoral Commission (CEC) Tigran Mukuchyan met on Thursday with the Parliamentary Assembly of Council of Europe (PACE) monitoring mission delegation.

Mukuchyan presented preparation for organizing and holding the [upcoming presidential] election, CEC informs Armenian News-NEWS.am. 

Mukushyan also underscored the importance of specialization training for the election commission members, as well as events on public awareness and raising the level of the public trust.

Head of the PACE monitoring mission Karin Woldseth presented the mission’s goals for the upcoming elections.

The presidential vote in Armenia is scheduled for February 18.
