YEREVAN. – Armenia’s opposition Heritage Party Chairman and presidential candidate Raffi Hovannisian did not meet with the other candidates and he solely read their public calls to action. Hovannisian himself informed this during a press conference on Friday, but he did not rule out the possibility of meeting with the other presidential contenders in a foreseeable future. Also, he underscored the need to achieve a political consolidation.

Hovannisian believes that the citizens of Armenia should come in first in the forthcoming presidential election, and that he and incumbent President—and presidential candidate—Serzh Sargsyan will vie for second place. And if fair elections are conducted, Heritage’s leader stands ready to congratulate the winner.

Raffi Hovannisian wishes success to all other presidential contenders, but he called upon Serzh Sargsyan to implement the fifteen points which had forwarded to the serving president, and which, as per Heritage’s chairman, will ensure a level playing field in the election season.

Furthermore, Raffi Hovannisian invited Serzh Sargsyan to a television debate.
