February 5, Turkish Premier Recep Tayyip Erdogan received U.S. Defense Secretary Robert Gates.

According to TRT channel, accord on furnishing U.S. with Turkish intelligence data was reached in the course of 1.5-hour meeting.

The officials also indicated intention to jointly struggle against terrorism. Gates emphasized Turkey’s crucial role in Afghanistan. The sides agreed on increase in number of military training teams in Afghanistan as well.
