YEREVAN. – Armenia’s Premier Tigran Sargsyan met with the European Union (EU) Advisory Group  delegation led by Ambassador Traian Hristea, the EU Mission Chief to Armenia.

The delegation members briefed the PM on the ongoing activities with respect to creating the Armenia-EU Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Area (DCFTA) and signing the Armenia-EU Association Agreement, the Government press service informs Armenian News-NEWS.am.

Also, Hristea noted that the fourth phase of the talks on the establishment of DCFTA are underway in Brussels. And once the Association Agreement is signed, Armenia will enjoy the status of a an associate country, and this will be followed by the new agenda of Armenia-EU cooperation.            

The parties also discussed the activities and the reforms that are carried out in other directions.

“If you see that our reforms are slowing down and there are obstacles, please contact me immediately so that the reforms are carried out at the right time,” Tigran Sargsyan said.

In his turn, Ambassador Hristea reiterated that EU stands ready to further assist Armenia.
