YEREVAN. – The 8th grade student, 13 years old Arsen B., has drowned in Hrazdan River near Khachpar village in Ararat region, on Monday around 3:30 pm. Armenian News-NEWS.am was informed about the incident by the head of Ararat region Edik Barseghyan, who was at the scene of the accident.
Special divers from the Rescue Service Operational Group of Management Center from the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Armenia are continuing the search operations, but they have still not been able to find the boy.
The head of the region told that according to preliminary information several children had gone to the bank of the river. The boy, who has drowned, had sat on the bank with a girl, when the land began to slide. The girl was able to avoid falling into the river, but Arsen was not so lucky.
The search operations are still in process. More details will be provided later.
