YEREVAN.- Central Electoral Commission has already issued the preliminary results of the  presidential elections in 35 precincts.

Serzh Sargsyan got 77.22 percent of votes (11,154 votes), followed by Raffi Hovannisian – 19.00 percent (2,745 votes) of votes. Vardan Sedrakyan polled 1.88 percent.

Four candidates Paruyr Hayrikyan (0.73%), Hrant Bagratyan (0.74%), Andreas Ghukasyan (0.25%) and Arman Melikyan (0.17%) got less than one percent of votes.

Note that on Monday the Presidential Elections were held in Armenia. Seven candidates were running for the presidency: the incumbent President and leader of ruling Republican Party Serzh Sargsyan, the leader of Heritage Party Raffi Hovannisian, former Armenian Prime Minister Hrant Bagratyan, head of the Association National Self-Determination Paruyr Hayrikyan, political scientist Andreas Ghukasyan, former Karabakh Foreign Minister Arman Melikyan and epos specialist Vardan Sedrakyan.
