YEREVAN. – Several representatives from Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan’s closest circles will resign from their offices in the coming days, the government sources of Zhoghovurd daily report.

“The [ruling] Republican Party [RPA] leader [and incumbent President] had appointed some officials to office on the condition that they will not be in that position during the other [that is, the second] presidential tenure [of Sargsyan].

Our sources inform that the parade of resignations will kick off in parallel with the issuing of the final results of the presidential election [that was held on Monday].

To verify the accuracy of the news, Zhoghovurd spoke with RPA Vice Chairman Galust Sahakyan.

‘I am not aware of such information,’ succinctly said Sahakyan, who was very busy with the election,” Zhoghovurd writes.
