YEREVAN. – Well-known French Carrefour hypermarket chain, which conducts retail trade, will enter Armenia, State Revenue Committee (SRC) Chairman Gagik Khachatryan told news reporters in a briefing.

In his words, Carrefour’s entry to Armenia is discussed at the Government, too, where there is a positive mood in this respect.

Khachatryan also assured that that the country’s customs agencies pose no obstacles before the world-renowned hypermarket chain.

“If anyone declares that he is facing obstacles when importing any type of product [into Armenia], I am prepared to hold a public discussion. The problems that exist are in other domains and have absolutely nothing to do with customs,” the SRC head stated.
