On February 11, the Armenian Government approved draft amendments to the RA Law on International Agreements.
According to the draft amendments, the signer of an international agreement reserves the right not to accede to the agreement any moment before the agreement takes effect, clearly informing the other signatory or signatories of his intention.
A few weeks ago RA President Serzh Sargsyan ordered a bill on repudiating and invalidating international agreements and revoking signatures to be drafted and submitted to Parliament. This will allow Armenia to renounce the Armenian-Turkish protocols in case Turkey fails to ratify them.
