YEREVAN.- Presidential elections runner-up Raffi Hovannisian and his supporters started a demonstration in the center of Yerevan.

In his address, Hovannisian paid attention to the fact that February 20 marks the 25th anniversary of the decision made by Nagorno-Karabakh Autonomous Oblast to petition for becoming a part of Armenia.

Hovannisian stressed a new way of Armenia’s struggle starts on the day of national revival. From now on, people  must look forward and fight to fix the victory de jure. Candidate labeled the fight as “struggle of love, not hatred.” It is love that implies punishment for those who rigged the elections, he added.

“Everyone –a president or a common citizen – must respect the Constitution. To grab votes of the people means to commit a crime which must be punished,” he said, addressing the supporters in Liberty Square.
