YEREVAN. – “I am confident that the faces will change within the authorities,” Armenian Education and Science Minister, ruling Republican Party Vice Chairman Armen Ashotyan said, during a briefing with news reporters on Thursday, responding to the journalists’ query as to whether or not any changes are expected within the Cabinet following Monday’s presidential vote.

In his words, however, these changes are not related to the election results at several polling precincts.

“It is a long-time ripened moment when some changes will take place within the authorities, in all those branches of the government, whose process of formation is conditioned on new elections, election results, [and] the post-election empowerment of the president,” Ashotyan stated.
