YEREVAN. – The Government of Armenia recognized meat, meat and dairy products, baked products, and vegetable oil and oil as the types of imported food that contain the highest health risks.       

The Government on Thursday ratified the Agriculture Ministry decision on approving the inspection methodology on the basis of the risk factor of the food items that are imported to Armenia.  

The aforesaid risk factor is determined on the basis of several criteria, which include the type of food, the means of its transport, and its bulk. 

To note, the risk factor of alcoholic beverages is considered medium, whereas that of sugar and honey is deemed low.
