YEREVAN. – “Armenia is not conducting talks with Turkey, in any format,” stated Armenian MFA Press Secretary Tigran Balayan, commenting, upon Armenian News-NEWS.am’s request, on the information that was disseminated by Hürriyet Daily News.

According to this information, if concrete improvements are made in the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, Turkey will propose Armenia to take part in its regional transportation project, which aims to connect Europe with Asia

Citing its own sources, the Turkish daily wrote that a comprehensive project toward restoring the transport corridor was introduced to the OSCE Minsk Group—which brokers the Karabakh peace talks—in November 2012.

In line with this proposal, aside from the railway, it is also planned to build a joint motorway between Armenia and Turkey, Hürriyet Daily News claims.
