A student of Composition Department of Tbilisi State Conservatoire composed a liturgy dedicated to the Armenian Genocide.
The premiere of Hovhannes Hambardzumyan’s “Liturgy” was held in 2012, in the Church of the Holy Etchmiadzin in Tbilisi. This work sounded soon in four different churches of Paris, including the Armenian Catholic Church. Conductor Rita Kazarian, choir, Hovhannes Hambardzumyan, Thierry Gassin, and Mariam Bullon performed “Liturgy”.
The impression was so great that the author was invited to perform "Liturgy" again before a wide audience already in France, which will be held in June.
