YEREVAN. – The ruling Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) has started discussing a possible change in the country’s PM. And, in this context, the name of capital city Yerevan’s former Mayor, Russian Gazprom Company’s present-day Deputy Director, Karen Karapetyan is circulated, Zhoghovurd daily reports.

“The RPA sources of Zhoghovurd inform that Karen Karapetyan returned from Moscow to Yerevan these days just for that reason. He met with several RPA members. So far, however, no concrete decision has been taken at RPA in this matter.

[But] RPA [National Assembly] NA Faction leader, RPA Vice Chairman Galust Sahakyan denied the news about discussions on the PM’s position

To note, [however, that] the very same Sahakyan was saying the RPA is not discussing the matter of resignations, either, but it happened,” Zhoghovurd writes.
