YEREVAN. - The General Court of Yerevan Kentron and Nork Marash districts is preparing to consider an application on measure of restraint against the former presidential candidate Vardan Sedrakyan.

The source in the court informed Armenian News-NEWS.am that it is not clear who is the judge to consider the request, but this will be done in the coming hours.

According to information at the agency’s disposal, today the cars and office of Sedrakyan were searched and his flat is the possible next location for search.

In an interview with Armenian News-NEWS.am V. Sedrakyan said he did not have any information about this.

“I am not at home now, I am at work, I am not aware,” he said.

Commenting on the rumors about his impending arrest, Sedrakyan said that he does not take it seriously.

Recall, on suspicion of assassination attempt on another former presidential candidate, Paruyr Hayrikyan, Khachatur Pogosyan and Samvel Harutyunyan were arrested, they were in Yerevan illegally, without any training, previously convicted of drug trafficking. Both pleaded guilty. Previously they were carrying out repair works in Vardan Sedrakyan’s apartment.
