YEREVAN.- Armenia’s government held a meeting of the council on legal reforms in economic field chaired by Premier Tigran Sargsyan.

In addition to council members, representatives of the international organizations, including author of the concept on regulatory guillotine reform, chief consultant of the similar program in Armenia Scott Jacobs participated in the meeting.

Premier Sargsyan said from now on partners and donors of the Armenian government are expected to participate in the meeting.

“We must do our work more transparently and our donors, being an interested party, must get a clear impression about the problems we tackle and the steps we take,” he said.

Guillotine will be used in the fields related to small and medium-sized business, Sargsyan added.

In his turn, Scott Jacobs noted that use of guillotine supposes serious reforms aimed at reforming macroeconomic atmosphere to improve business climate and investments. He expressed gratitude to Armenian partners for consistent implementation of the reforms.
