YEREVAN.- Armenia has a unique chance to act as a mediator between Russia and Georgia, Armenian political analyst says.

Sergey Minasyan, deputy director of Caucasus Institute, believes that both Tbilisi and Moscow trust official Yerevan, which is a good opportunity for Armenia to act as a mediator in normalization of relations between these states.

“This will positively affect Armenia’s image, as well as country’s relations with Russia and Georgia,” Minasyan told reporters on Monday.

Georgian Premier Bidzina Ivanishvili spoke about possible improvement in relations between Moscow and Tbilisi after his bloc’s victory in the parliamentary elections.
