YEREVAN.- Armenian TV and radio companies have set prices of airtime for parties running in elections to the Yerevan Council, Central Electoral Commission told Armenian News-NEWS.am.
The highest price is set by Shant channel – around $290 (AMD 120,000) per minute.
CEC has registered six parties and one bloc: the Republican Party of Armenia (RPA), “Barev, Yerevan” bloc, Prosperous Armenia, Armenian National Congress, ARF Dashnaktsutyun, Orinats Yerkir and Arakelutyun.
To note, the Yerevan Council election is slated for May 5, and the participating political forces will vie for 65 Council seats. The parties’ respective lists will be registered until Sunday. The election campaign will kick off on April 7 and come to an end on May 3. The Yerevan Council election will be held with proportional lists only.
