Representatives of the Armenian community along with Massachusetts legislators and guests gather in the House Chamber at the State House to commemorate the Armenian Genocide for already 28 years.

This year marks the 98th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide and the commemoration will take place on April 19, Wicked Local Watertown reported.

A keynote speaker is former U.S. Ambassador to Armenia John Marshall Evans who served from 2006-2008.

Following the ceremony and pending final permitting, attendees will be invited to participate in a newly organized march from the State House to Armenian Heritage Park on the Rose Kennedy Greenway for additional remarks, music, and a catered lunch.
