Turkish president Abdullah Gul warned Latvia and Lithuania against making decisions on recognition of the Armenian Genocide.
During his trips to Latvia and Lithuania, Gul told Turkish reporters that sometimes parliaments make decisions on the 1915 events, Cihan agency reported.
“Such a decision was made by the parliament [Lithuanian] back in 2005 but the government was against it,” Gul said, noting that the governments are attaching importance to friendly relations with Turkey.
