YEREVAN.- Armenian FM Edward Nalbandian participated on Friday in the work of CIS ministerial council meeting held in Tashkent.
The foreign ministers of the CIS member states discussed deepening of cooperation in humanitarian field, cooperation in the field of security and other issues.
The concept of cooperation of CIS countries in the struggle against crimes committed using information technology was discussed, too.
On the sidelines of the event, Minister Nalbandian held meetings with his counterparts from Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan.
During the meeting with Uzbekistan FM Abdulaziz Kamilov, the sides agreed to take steps targeted at intensification of trade contacts and promotion of cooperation within international agencies.
Minister Nalbandian also met with Kyrgyzstan’s FM Erlan Abdyldaev to discuss issues related to bilateral relations, multilateral cooperation and mutual visits. They discussed the schedule of meetings of the CSTO coordinating bodies.
Edward Nalbandian invited his Kyrgyz counterpart to visit Armenia to continue the dialogue.
