YEREVAN. – Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan on Wednesday received Amado Boudou, the Vice President and Senate Chairman of Argentina, who had arrived in capital city Yerevan to attend Tuesday’s inauguration of the President of Armenia.

The President noted that relations between Armenia and Argentina stand out by their special warmth, and the great understanding and trust between the two peoples exist since long before Armenia’s independence in 1991, the President’s Press Office informs.

The interlocutors stressed that the positions of both countries—and in terms of several important matters—are in line with one another within international platforms, and Armenian-Argentinean ties are anchored in mutual trust.

During the talk, President Sargsyan yet again extended his deep condolences to the authorities and the people of Argentina, in connection with the recent flood that caused huge devastation in the country.

Giving a high assessment to the development level of Armenian-Argentinean relations, Serzh Sargsyan and Amado Boudou expressed a readiness to liven up bilateral ties and to expand cooperation.
