YEREVAN.- The UK Embassy in Armenia expressed gratitude for all condolence messages that visitors put in the book opened following the death of the former Prime Minister Margaret  Thatcher.

“The book will remain open until 16.30 today, and from 09.00 – 12.00 on Friday 12 April,” Embassy wrote in a statement.

Earlier Ambassador Jonathan Aves said “she was a remarkable woman who inspired people throughout the world with her courage and determination.”

Margaret Thatcher passed away on Monday morning at the age of 87. She was the first female-premier (1979-1990) in the history of the UK.
