In connection with the huge passenger demand for the Vienna-Yerevan flights, the Austrian Airlines’’ respective flights, which are conducted six times per week, will be conducted on a daily basis in summer 2013, Austrian Airlines Press Secretary Wilhelm Baldia told Armenian News-NEWS.am.     

To note, Armenia International Airports Company—which owns capital city Yerevan’s Zvartnots International Airport—had issued a statement on April 3 with respect to the bankruptcy of Armavia Airline Company, which is Armenia’s national carrier.

As a result, the airport had commenced talks with other airlines to increase the number of their flights to Armenia.

Subsequent agreements are already reached with Czech Airlines (up to seven flights per week), Alitalia (three times per week), and LOT Polish Airlines, which will commence flights to Armenia in June.
