YEREVAN. – Uruguay will become the second South American country—after Argentina, in 2011—where the citizens of Armenia will be able to enter without a visa.

With the proposal of Armenia’s MFA, the matter of approving the signing of an agreement on lifting visa requirements between the governments of Armenia and Uruguay is included in the agenda of Thursday’s interim Cabinet session.   

In line with this agreement, the citizens of Armenia and Uruguay will be able to enter, leave, pass through, and stay in one another’s countries without a visa, and stay there for a maximum of ninety days per year, provided that they de not conduct paid activities.
