YEREVAN.- Newly appointed Lebanon’s Ambassador to Armenia Jean Makaron handed in his credentials to President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan on Thursday.

President Sargsyan congratulated Ambassador on his appointment and wished success in his mission. Serzh Sargsyan noted that recent mutual visits and active dialogue gave a new impetus to development of Armenia-Lebanon relations. He stated there are many new projects and initiatives to be implemented with the help of ambassadors.

The sides noted that centuries-old relations between the nations turned into close interstate relationship over the last twenty years. This includes relations within the framework of international agencies as well as cooperation in various fields.

Ambassador Makaron assured he would spare no effort to strengthen and expand friendly relations between the countries and nations.
