STEPANAKERT. – Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR), or Artsakh, President Bako Sahakyan on Wednesday issued a congratulatory address in connection with the International Workers’ Day.

“Dear compatriots:

On behalf of the republic’s authorities and myself personally I cordially congratulate you on the May 1International Workers’ Day.

Our people traditionally celebrate this day by expressing their attitude towards work and workers. We are well aware of the price of work, as we constructed our houses with our own hands, cultivated the native land, and shaped our future for centuries.

The protection of the workers’ rights and legal interests, the creation of normal living conditions for the people are issues which have been at the focus of the authorities. The people of Artsakh must have the opportunity to work and care for the needs of our families through their own work. The state takes necessary steps in this direction, and I am confident that we will achieve desirable results.

Dear friends, I once again congratulate you all on May Day and wish peace, abundance and welfare to your families. May success accompany you in your fair and painstaking work,” the NKR President’s message reads.
