YEREVAN. – Governor Suren Khachatryan of Armenia’s Syunik Region told capital city Yerevan-residing natives of Syunik that he will wait for them on Sunday, following the Yerevan Council elections, at Armenia Marriott Hotel in downtown Yerevan, Zhoghovurd reports.

“Khachatryan advised the people of Syunik to go to the elections until 2pm and vote for the RPA [i.e., the ruling Republican Party], and they will receive their ‘due’ at the hotel.

In a conversation with Zhoghovurd, however, the regional governor denied this news [and said(inlove) ‘No, they are lying, there is no such thing. That is inappropriate for me; I don’t do such things. Everything of ours is based on respect, [and] right mutual human interrelations,’” Zhoghovurd writes.
