YEREVAN. – The Armenian capital city Yerevan Council election, which will be held on Sunday, is becoming a quite profitable business for some political forces that are running in the vote, Iravunk daily reports.

“According to reliable information, the ANCP [i.e., the opposition Armenian National Congress Party] has sold to the PAP [i.e., the non-government Prosperous Armenia Party] its commission [member] spots in several dozen election precincts.

At the same time, ANCP was given guarantees that the PAP members in the commissions will fight for the interests of ANCP, too,” Iravunk writes.
