YEREVAN. – Finland’s newly appointed Ambassador to Armenia, Christer Mickelson—whose diplomatic residence is in Helsinki—, on Monday presented the copy of his credentials to Armenia’s Foreign Minister, Edward Nalbandian.
Congratulating the ambassador on his appointment, Nalbandian wished him success and expressed a hope that the diplomat will contribute to the development of Armenian-Finnish interaction, Armenian MFA press service informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.
The minister added that Armenia looks toward developing political discourse with Finland. In addition, the need to invigorate trade and economic cooperation and to expand the legal and contractual framework was underscored.
Ambassador Mickelson noted that Finland gives emphasis to developing cooperation with Armenia and their interaction within the EU Eastern Partnership.
In the ensuing talk, the interlocutors reflected on several regional and international matters.
